Lady Maryland Visits the Bay

Local 8-meter King Haakon (front) and visiting school ship Lady Maryland (back) on Narragansett Bay in August. The Lady Maryland is a pungy schooner built in 1986 in Baltimore -- her sparred length is 104 feet. She provides students "the opportunity to experience sailing a historic vessel, while studying history, sailing, seamanship, marine science and ecology on her traditional waters from Maryland to Maine."
